Berggasthof Stöehr in Brotterode-Trusetal

Well, Uncle Google, the inn is closed. Corona 😷 does not stop at an altitude of 917 meters. I have seldom seen so few people up here as on this day. At the moment you have to take care of your physical well-being yourself. 😉 A filled thermos flask and lunch box, combined with the magnificent view, are the best reward for the hiker. 😊

Great restaurant with delicious food and super friendly service and if it weren't for fog that day it would be a great view! I can only recommend!!

Food was good. Fast service. Toilet was rather bad. No soap and towels. Hygiene in particular urgently needs to be improved.

Around 1:30 p.m. I was a guest. The house was full, but only two waitresses were working. Both very stressed, one also very unfriendly. Then one of them yelled across the room that the other should come straight into the kitchen and leave everything in the middle of taking an order. Radler and mulled wine were good, the defrosted apple strudel had a very hard bottom. The other inn on the Inselsberg is being renovated, which is why the Berhhasthof Stöhr currently has a monopoly position, which it makes good use of

There was a very hectic atmosphere. As Ei prevailed an uncomfortable impression, we left after a few minutes. In summer, when the weather is nice, a stay on the terrace is certainly nice. The distant view is great.

Very disappointing! The staff was totally stressed and very unfriendly (including loud insults in the middle of the guest room). The food didn't work at all: the goulash was a mushy mass, the red cabbage was inedible, the roasted roast was cold, the fries were limp. I would definitely not recommend it.

Absolutely underground! What we had on the plate looked like schnitzel with french fries, but it tasted like something old, disgusting ...! Service unfriendly, which I can understand with the food and dissatisfied customers.

Food came super quickly and was very tasty (beef roulade, yeast loos, schnitzel). We were at 11:45 am, just before the big wave.

Wonderful time at the inn. The view was good and the Thuringian roast beef with fried potatoes was a treat for the palate. The service was super nice and fast. Many thanks to the cook and team for the great food. We'll be back, stay healthy and LG

If it weren't for the wonderful view, you could really resist. The service was completely stressed. The cake came and the coffee finally came (lukewarm) when the cake was almost eaten. Have tried it the second time and again a failure. Since the price-performance ratio, in my opinion, is not right either, we will be back, but without a stop at the Berggasthof Stöhr.

Very cozy with GDR charm, the staff is always friendly and on the ball. The food is delicious, the portions are big! In summer you can enjoy the view of the Thuringian Forest on a large terrace. We would love to come back!

Bratwurst AND rolls were good. 3.00 euros for the exposed location is perfectly fine. Only the counter force was probably a bit annoyed by so many guests. Almost everyone is up there for the first time and must also be able to see what they are ordering. Maybe just smile from time to time.

Hello all friends of the island mountain! After a nice hike from Tabarz everything was great! 🍀 ✌️ We didn't go up in the car, we hiked nicely! A unique view in all directions and a great beer 🍻 and a sausage makes me feel at peace! Praise to the woman serving the bar, she had a lot to do that day! Otherwise self-service! Thanks again! Good taste, portion (roulades, red cabbage) too small and completely overpriced. Wheat beer 4.10 euros ...

The restaurant with the best view in Germany. Great, friendly and courteous staff. A menu with something for everyone. The food tastes fabulous and the price performance is right too! To you very soon. 👍

Decent food, decent coffee. Nice view with a spot by the window.

Today walked from Hörschel to Inselberg. Then I ordered a large salad with a non-alcoholic hefeweizen (not really cold) for € 13.80. The salad came out of the can, except for possibly. Catastrophe. Even the ham came from the cube pack and the grated cheese from the bag. Has nothing to do with cooking. I can then also imagine what the "hearty" dishes will have to do with cooking! Not recommended. Take a butterbemme with you.

July 2020, we were here after a hike eating and drinking. The staff was pretty neutral. Order was taken and brought to the table in a reasonable time. Nothing really special! if it weren't for the view, you wouldn't have to go there.
